It all began with a song.

Classical piano came first. I spent my formative years studying and eventually teaching in conservatories and private schools. The discipline formed from hours of deliberate practice in pursuit of something that can never be perfected continues to shape how I approach learning today, whether it's new skills, technology, or building with AI.

My career began in sales, where I broke team records and eventually my own. After that I moved into nonprofit: work rooted in serving people and communities. I quickly drew on my sales background to create sponsorship opportunities and help organizations grow. Along the way I discovered that events and conferences are where something real happens: people come together, learn from each other, and leave better than they arrived. A natural progression into work I genuinely loved.

When events went online during the pandemic I was an early adopter — and it led me deliberately into B2B SaaS, where I've been building and leading CS teams since. Managing and developing people felt a lot like teaching: the same instinct to meet people where they are, help them grow, and get out of the way when they're ready.
